Solvents: Theory and Application

چکیده

The physical and chemical properties vapour pressure, boiling point and solubilities of all substances have their origin in the Coulomb interaction between the molecules. The various interactions itself derive from the drive to minimize the Coulomb energy of the valence electrons. A classification of the electrostatic interaction allows an exemplification and estimation of the interaction strength as well as the predication, which kind of interaction dominates for various solids and liquids (in this document with a focus on polymers and organic solvents). Additionally, this classification detailed in the following sections allows predicting the (dis)solubility between polymers and solvents as well as between solvents.

Discovery of active site of vinblastine as application of nanotechnology in medicine

Objective(s): Vinblastine is antimitotic, anticancer medicine that disturbs normal microtubule formation and favours depolymerisation. Structural study and finding the active site of vinblastine are the targets of this research.   Materials and Methods: Vinblastine was optimized in vacuum and then in different solvents by Density Functional Theory (DFT) method. Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) ...

Structural Characteristics and Reactivity Relationship of some Thiophene Derivatives

ABSTRACT The application of many hetero-aromatic compounds in pharmaceutical and dye industries make the theoretical study of their dipole moment (µ) oscillator strength (f) and other photo-physical properties worthwhile. These properties determine the solubility of many compounds; predict the relationship between their structures, properties and performance. The f, µ, α, transition dipole mome...

Theoretical Thermodynamic Study of Arginine and Lysine Amino Acids at different Solvents

The thermodynamic functions such as enthalpy, H°, Gibbs free energy, G°, and entropy, S°, of Arginine and Lysine amino acids were theoretically studied at different polar solvents by using ²Gaussian o3², software. First, the structural optimization of isolated Arginine and Lysine were done in the gas phase by applying the Density Functional Theory (B3LYP) level ...

USE OF ORGANIC SOLVENTS FOR THE ENHANCEMENT AND LIFETIME INCREASING OF LUMINESCENCE IN FLUORIMETRIC APPLICATION BY FLUORESCAMINE

In this study, the fluorogenic efficiency of fluorescamine for spectrofluorimetric analysis of primary amines was investigated. Different mixtures of dichloromethane and other organic solvents were used for evaluation of fluorescence stability and intensity of fluorescamine derivative (Pyrrolinone). Solvents such as acetonitrile (ACN), tetrahydrofuran (THF) and dioxane increase stability an...
